People all over the world and from every culture, age and sex have moles. Moles are a naturally body characteristic. Some people may have a large cluster of moles and some may not have any. Either way it is always important to examine the skin on the body as moles can develop over time, with sun exposure, and with age. There are benign moles and malignant moles that have developed melanoma. Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that can lead to fatalities if not attended to in time. They can develop in a short span of time and need immediate medical attention. If a dermatologist see’s signs of melanoma when they are looking at body moles, or an individuals’ mole pictures, they will take a small tissue sample of the mole and send it to a pathologist for further testing. Usually the dermatologist will remove any dangerous life threatening moles.
The signs
that the dermatologist looks out for are border, size, shape,
and colour abnormalities. Any drastic changes or developments
can be the cause for concern and further testing will need
to take place. Pictures of moles can be found all over the
internet and an individual can see pictures of blood
moles, normal moles, dysplastic moles, and congenital
nevi photos, as well as many more. Moles come in all kinds
of colours such as brown, dark brown, black, red, pink, blue
and tan. A red mole is usually further examined as it
may be a blood mole. Blood moles are caused because of the
build up in the vessels underneath the skin upon development
of the mole. They can be removed just like any other mole.
Procedures to remove dangerous or unwanted moles include surgery and natural home remedies. Surgical procedures include using electricity, liquid nitrogen and laser. Usually the dermatologist will apply one of these to the mole tissue, therefore destroying any chance of a further growth happening. After the liquid nitrogen, electricity, or laser is applied, the mole is taken off with a scalpel and then the wound is secured. Natural home remedies can involve the application of garlic, onion juice, sour apple juice, dandelion root juice, apple cider vinegar, castor oil and baking soda paste, and so much more.
Pictures of moles are not always that attractive to view and some moles may be cancerous, full of blood, a strange colour, or even hairy. Cancer mole pictures can be difficult to look at, but it is necessary that people and doctors alike, know all the signs of a pre-cancerous and cancerous mole.
If an individual is curious about a mole on their body and notices any abnormalities, they should consult with their dermatologist or doctor immediately. People should be aware of moles on their skin and body, and monitor them from time to time. It is better to be in the know, then ending up with a deadly form of skin cancer.
